Note there are better ways to find domains for PBN's like using DHG, but no all expired domains are for PBNs.
I like to filter domains by .com although some people also choose to include .net or .org, it's up to you.
NEXT it's time for some filters...
First and most importantly I choose the filter option to only show "available" domains.
Then I filter domains by DP (Domain Pop) which is the number of domains linking to that domain.
The number of links could be in the millions but if they all come from one website that's pretty worthless.
Websites that already have wikipedia links to them can also be a great catch and an easy SEO boost.
Finally I check my domains using The Website SEO Checker. Here I'm looking for a low spam score and high DA/PA and TF metrics.
A DA over 15 is preferred but hard to come by. (Yes, I know these metrics are no longer used by Google but they give us a good idea of its SEO quality)
Finally I check the way back machine / archive.org to see what type of website was up before. You want an actual site and not a chinese spam site.
If the website looks spammy I will generally avoid it. Finally I do a check in google to see if the domain comes up with a site:thedomain.com search.
Ex: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3 ... ndscal.ing
If it doesn't that isn't necessarily a deal breaker if I still have a good domain. But if it's porn related or anything forget it, Google will never index it.
Expired Domains are a great way to brainstorm new niche ideas just search for your niche
